The McConnellsburg United Methodist Church held its annual fall harvest party on Saturday at the Knepper farm north of town. The festival included games, a hayride and good food.

Jim and Sharon Deshong celebrated their wedding anniversary on September 21.

Jeremy and Nicole Fletcher will celebrate their anniversary on September 30; Rick and Deb Buterbaugh on September 24; and Ben and Diane Leese, September 22. Bill and Janet Geyer will celebrate 56 years on September 28 and Doug and Nancy Shafer will celebrate on September 27.

Public Opinion weekly honor roll student-athletes were Kiersten Cline, Forbes Road field hockey, and Alexis Mellott, McConnellsburg soccer.

Family and friends celebrating Mary Culler’s 90th birthday, which was Monday, at a luncheon Sunday were Robin and Joe Munch, Littlestown, Pa.; Judy and Carl Lindsay, Westminster, Md.; daughter Betty Munch, Melbourne, Fla.; daughter Linda Culler, San Diego, Calif.; daughter Sharon Strait, Mc- Connellsburg; and grandson Chris Culler, Mechanicsburg, with great-grandsons Isaac and Ian.

Sympathy goes out to the family of Bobby Howell who passed away last week.

The annual pig roast and gospel concert was held Saturday at the Pleasant Ridge Church of the Nazarene at the campgrounds and featured the singing of Heaven Bound of Bedford.

Keith and Connie Cunningham, grandson Cyrus and daughter Devon and friend Tyler enjoyed a bus trip to the Baltimore Aquarium on Saturday.

Jake and Pat Everts celebrated their 51st anniversary on September 15, and Larry and Glenda Carbaugh celebrated their 45 years together on September 10.

Visiting with Marian Seiders last week were her sister, Jean, and husband Tom Reynolds of Florida. While here Tom attended his high school’s 70th year reunion in Hagerstown and attended church on Sunday to hear their nephew preach at Mc- Connellsburg St. Paul Lutheran Church.

Jill Doyle and sons Andrew and Adam and Kim Christian vacationed in Ocean City, Md., this week.

Polly Richards is now home after a few days stay in Harrisburg Pinnacle Hospital.

Ebenezer Church sponsored a bus trip on Saturday to see the show “Noah’s Ark.”
