Free Lunch Lunch will be served every first Friday of each month from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., at McConnellsburg United Methodist Faith and Life Center, across from the courthouse. Parking available behind the church. Soup, sandwiches, salad bar, potato bar and dessert bar are served. Dine-in or carryouts with donations accepted.

Soup Sale St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Big Cove Tannery, will hold a frozen soup sale. Several varities of soup will be available frozen in quart containers and will be for sale for $5 each. Sale will be at the schoolhouse across from the church, Saturday, February 16, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. More information may be obtained by calling Marianne Hoffman at 717- 485-9354.

Spaghetit Supper An all-you-can-eat spaghetti supper will be held at Asbury United Methodist Church in Harrisonville, February 12, from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Served will be pasta, salad, desserts and beverage. All are welcome. Donations gratefully accepted.

Potpie Dinner A slippery potpie dinner will be held Saturday, February 16, from 4 p.m to 7 po.m., at Needmore Bible Church in the gym. Proceeds benefit Christian Music Outreach. Cost is by donation.

Breakfast Breakfast will be served at Asbury United Methodist Church in Harrisonville February 16, from 6:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. Served will be sausage gravy and biscuits, scrambled eggs, home fries and beverage. All are welcome. Donations gratefully accepted.

Potpie Fundraiser Warfordsburg Presbyterian Church will hold a potpie fundraiser Friday, February 15. This is a takeout event only. Advance orders can be placed by e-mailing potpie.Wpc4Faith@Frontier.com or call or text 240-343- 1185. The cost is $7 a quart and orders can be picked up between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. Walk-ins are accepted and the church will do its best to accommodate orders. Spaghetti Dinner Warfordsburg Presbyterian Church Outreach/Fellowship Team will hold a spaghetti dinner fundraiser Saturday, February 23, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Served will be spaghetti, homemade bread, salad, dessert and beverages. Donations will be accepted. Proceeds benefit further outreach activities. For additional information call 717- 294-3028.

Pancake Supper Whips Cove Church, 5044 Moss Road, Warfordsburg, will hold a pancake supper February 9, at 5 p.m. The menu will consist of buttermilk and old-fashioned buckwheat pancakes. Also available ham, sausage links, puddin, sausage gravy, scrambled and fried eggs. Coffee, hot chocolate and orange juice will be available. Donations are accepted and appreciated. Soup Night Soup night will be held every Wednesday thru March 27, from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., at McConnellsburg United Presbyterian Church. In the event Central Fulton School District is closed or has an early dismissal soup night will be cancelled. Check out on www.mupc.org.

Meals Available Once a month volunteers pack up boxes of food to be given to anyone in need in the Waterfall area. Pickup is at Center United Methodist Church community building on Doran Road, Waterfall. More information may be obtained by calling 814-685-3780. Calls will be kept strictly confidential.

Free Meal A free meal will be served the second Tuesday of each month at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 220 North Third Street. Please join in for good fellowship.


Little League Registration Fulton County Little League will hold open registration for the 2019 season at the Little League clubhouse located at Lions Community Park in Mc- Connellsburg, Saturday, February 23, from 9 a.m. to noon; Saturday, March 2, from 9 a.m. to noon. Boys and girls can register for T-ball (5 -6 years), Farm League (7-8 years) and Little League (9-12 years). First-year players should bring a copy of birth certificate. Open Mic McConnellsburg Senior Center will hold Open Mic night Monday, February 11, from 4 p.m to 8 p.m. Food will be available. Everyone welcome.

WAYS Soccer Registration WAYS soccer will hold spring registration at Needmore Bible Church Saturday, February 16, from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. Cost is $30/player with additional siblings being $25. Children entering kindergarten in the fall of 2019 through sixth graders are welcome. Donuts With Dad Come join the Fulton Fatherhood Initiative and have a dunking good time for Donuts with Dad on February 9, at 10 a.m., at Fulton Theatre.

Walk, Play, Run Walk, play and run at McConnellsburg Alumni Community building every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Get out of the cold and get some exercise. Art Classes Art classes will be offered at Warfordsburg Senior Center for six weeks starting Tuesday, February 5, from 10 a.m. to noon. The class is free except for supplies. For more information or to register for the classes call 717-294-6020.

Hall Walking McConnellsburg Alumni and Friends Association will open the alumni community gym every Monday, Wednesday and Friday between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., for anyone to get out of the cold and exercise in the gym for free. Love’s Closet Love’s Closet free distribution will be held Saturday, February 9, from noon to 2 p.m., at 416 Lincoln Way East in the rear behind Dick’s Home Health Care.

Winter Blues Presentation A presentation on winter blues will be held February 20, at 11 a.m., at Hustontown Senior Center. All are welcome.

Free Workshop Fulton County Conservation District is offering a free workshop for streamside and woodland property owners February 21, from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., at Buchanan State Forest Resource Management Center (DCNR), 25185 Great Cove Road, McConnellsburg. Learn about the benefits of multi-species riparian (streamside) buffers and non-timber forest uses. First 25 registrants receive a free bundle of trees/bushes for stream bank planting. CF K-4 Registration Central Fulton School District will hold registration for the 2019-2020 school year Friday, March 15; Monday, March 18 and Tuesday, March 19. Children who will be age 4 on or before the first day of school (week of August 19) are eligible for the K4 program and children who will be 5 on or before the first day of school are eligible for the kindergarten program. Students who are currently enrolled in the K4 program do not need to re-register for K5. Contact Kelli Miller at 717-485-7072 to schedule an appointment.

Work Experience Program Employment and Training Inc. of Fulton County is recruiting out-of-school youths ages 16-24 for the Work Experience Program. Individuals will be placed at host work sites fitting to his/her interests and must meet WIOA eligibility to participate. All jobs are with local employers for 30 hours per week at $8 per hour. 55-Alive Smart Driving Classes Warfordsburg Senior Center will offer a class for the 55-Alive/Smart Driving Discount Program, March 13. The class is from 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Preregister, either in person or by calling the center. Checks should be made payable to AARP for $20 (per person nonmember) or $15 (per person AARP member). Warfordsburg senior center is located at 209 Long Hollow Road, Warfordsburg. If planning on having lunch, make reservations for lunch when registering. Pre-K Registration Southern Fulton School District will hold pre-kindergarten registration Thursday, February 14, and Friday, February 15. The inclement weather makeup day will be February 18. Anyone having children who will be 3 or 4 years old before August 1, 2019, call the elementary school at 717-294-3400 to schedule an appointment.


Narcotics Anonymous Meets two times per week in Mc- Connellsburg. NA is a nonprofit fellowship or society of men and women for whom drugs had become a major problem. Members share their successes and challenges in overcoming active addiction and living drug-free, productive lives through the application of the principles contained within the Twelve Steps and Twelve Traditions of NA (patterned after Alcoholics Anonymous.) Anyone is welcome no matter what is used or how big the desire to stop using is. Alcoholics Anonymous Meetings Alcoholics Anonymous meetings are held every Wednesday at 7 p.m., including holidays, in the basement of McConnellsburg alumni building, 301 East Maple Street. This is an open meeting that anyone can attend.

Save A Life Join in at Fulton County Family Partnership second floor for Save A Life February 13, at 10 a.m. Learn how to recognize a person who is overdosing. Receive free Narcan and a certificate of completion.

Free Dental Screenings Free dental screenings for age’s birth to 18 years of age are available at the Fulton County Family Partnership Dental Clinic (Overly Raker Building), 22438 Great Cove Road, McConnellsburg, February 6 and 13, from 9 a.m. to noon. Nutrition Class Fulton County nutrition awareness classes are held at Warfordsburg Senior Center on the third Monday of every month from 10:30 a.m. to noon. When the third Monday is a holiday, the class is held the fourth Monday. To register or sign up for lunch call 717-294-6020.

Memory Loss Support Group A memory loss support group meets the third Tuesday monthly, at 6 p.m., in the Pearl Room at Fulton County Medical Center. Please use the south entrance. For more information call 717-485-6108.


Sportsmen’s Meeting Fulton County Sportsmen’s League will meet at 7 p.m., in the stone house at the trout nursery February 15. Members are encouraged to attend and share input at this meeting. Nonmembers and those wishing to become members are always invited to the meetings to share ideas and needs of the community and to find out about the organization.

Bedford-Fulton Recreation Authority Meeting Bedford- Fulton Joint Recreation Authority will hold its monthly meetings on the second Monday of each month at East Providence municipal building, 174 Municipal Road, Breezewood. Open to the public; meetings begin at 6 p.m.

Farm Women Meeting Fulton Co. Society of Farm Women will meet February 7 at 7 p.m. in the home of Marie Richards. Bake a favorite dessert and bring the recipe and a valentine for secret sister.
