District Elks Hoop Shoot Competition Results

The south-central district Elks Hoop Shoot was held January 28 in the Kathy Snyder Kendall Gym in Mc- Connellsburg.

Isabelle Hoffeditz, Mercersburg, captured first in the shoot. She shot in the 10-11-year-old girls division representing Chambersburg Elks Lodge #600 and shot 20 out of 25 foul shots to attain first place.

Trenton Miller, St. Thomas, shot 19 out of 25 and then 4 out of 5 to capture the 12-13 boys 2018 title.

Isabelle and Trenton will represent Chambersburg Elks Lodge #600 and the south central district at the 2018 Pennsylvania State Hoop Shoot finals on Saturday, March 3, at Bellefonte High School, Bellefonte.

Other results of local youths are as follows:

8-9-Year-Old Girls

Kendyl Stoner, Mercersburg, placed second, shooting 13 for 25.

8-9-Year-Old Boys

Avery Hoffeditz, Mercersburg, shot 18 out of 25 and placed fifth.

10-11-Year-Old Boys

Jeron Fletcher, son of Jeremy and Nicole Fletcher of McConnellsburg, placed fifth, shooting 8 out of 25.

12-13-Year-Old Girls

MacKenzie Stoner, Mercersburg, placed second, shooting 18 out of 25.

Winner of the girls ball was Glenn Foster. Winning the boys ball was Becky Ohrel, and the winner of the 50/50 was Jesse Bigler.

The 2018 Pa. state competition will be held Saturday, March 3.
