Fannett-Metal 38

Maddie Miller recorded a career-high 15 points last Thursday during the Forbes Road Cardinals 52-38 Sideling Hill League ousting of Fannett-Metal. McKenzie Gelvin added 13 points, seven rebounds and six steals, and Mina Wilt contributed 12 points and seven boards.

Southern Fulton 30

McConnellsburg poured on the heat following the halftime break last Thursday and pulled away for the 42-30 league win over the Southern Fulton Indians. Bronwyne Mellott and Bridgette Ritchey had 14 and 11 points, respectively, for the victorious Spartans, who also received 10 points from Kellyn Perry. Ritchey also had six rebounds and six assists, and Perry added eight boards. Olivia Mottern had 10 points, and teammate Lakyn Morton added nine points.

McConnellsburg 34

For the second time this season, McConnellsburg fell to the Everett Warriors. Losing Saturday’s Sideling Hill League game 62- 34, the Spartans were led by Bronwyne Mellott with 20 points and eight rebounds. Kellyn Perry had eight points and seven rebounds.

Southern Fulton 59

Conemaugh Township 47

Four members of the Southern Fulton Lady Indians scored double digits Saturday during the team’s 59- 47 non-league win over Conemaugh Township. Olivia Mottern had 22 points and 12 rebounds for a double-double, and Celina Merchant had 11 points and out six assists. Shaye Smartt and Emily Bradshaw both had 10 points.

Chestnut Ridge 23

Forbes Road picked up a win last Tuesday easily defeating Chestnut Ridge by the final score of 47- 23. McKenzie Gelvin led the way with 20 points and eight steals, and teammate Mina Wilt added on 15 points. Courtney Schoen pulled down 10 rebounds during the league victory.

Fannett-Metal 47

Forbes Road fought back to take the lead Friday evening and held on for a narrow 51-47 Sideling Hill League win over Fannett- Metal. Grayson Hall, Matt Brown and Michael Fleck each had 12 points for the Cardinals, and Brycen Hohman was the next highest scorer with eight points.

Southern Fulton 47

McConnellsburg 36

After both teams got off to a slow offensive start, the Southern Fulton Indians picked up the pace in the second quarter and cruised to a 47-36 Sideling Hill League win over Mc- Connellsburg. Trent Rider and Dylan Gordon had 17 and 16 points, respectively, for the Indians. Branden Lynch led the defensive effort with 13 rebounds. Jake Boehme led the Spartans with 13 points, and teammates Chase Novak and Landon Richards both added 10 points.

Chestnut Ridge 54

Southern Fulton pulled off a hard-fought victory over Chestnut Ridge Saturday, winning the Sideling Hill League game by the final score of 61-54. Dylan Gordon rallied to lead the Indians with 26 points, 10 rebounds and five assists. Zach Clark added 10 points, and Trent Rider followed with nine. Carl Potter had six points and six assists.

Chestnut Ridge 50

Chase Novak netted a season-high 23 points last Wednesday during the Mc- Connellsburg Spartans’ 63- 50 league win over Chestnut Ridge. Jake Boehme also hit double digits with 20 points and five assists, and Quintin Miller pulled down eight rebounds to lead the defense.

Forbes Road 51

Forbes Road and Tussey Mountain took last Wednesday’s game into overtime with the Titans prevailing for the 57- 51 Sideling Hill League victory. Aaron Schepis scored 14 points, which included 11 in the fourth quarter. Meanwhile, Cardinal Grayson Hall led the scoring effort with 16 points. Brycen Hohman tacked on 10 points.

Everett 43

In spite of having difficulties at the foul line, Mc- Connellsburg still managed to pull off a 53-43 Sideling Hill League victory over the Everett Warriors last Tuesday evening. Chase Novak’s 14 points, five assists and two steals paced the Spartans during the league win, while Jake Boehme and Ian Cheatle both added on 12 points. Quintin Miller grabbed 15 rebounds to lead the defense.

Northern Bedford 27

Southern Fulton held Northern Bedford to single digits in three quarters last Tuesday evening and cruised onto a 74-27 Sideling Hill League win over the Panthers. Dylan Gordon netted 19 points and added on six rebounds and five steals. Trent Rider followed closely with 17 points, and Carl Potter finished with 11 points and seven assists.
