Flouder Tournament Results

The third annual Fulton County Flounder Tournament was held May 14, 15 and 16, 2015. Sixty-two anglers were registered for the tournament.

This tournament is held in the Chincoteague, Va., area. Prizes are determined by the weight of individual fish.

The winner of the tournament was Mike Whiteside, who landed a flounder weighing 4.96 pounds. Narrowly missing first place was Kenny Palmer, whose second place catch came in at 4.88 pounds. Third place was captured by Art Waleski with a 4.55 pound fish. Taking fourth place was Greg McKee at 4.37 pounds and fifth place went to Jeff Hull, whose flounder weighed 4.05 pounds. Weigh-ins were conducted at the Sea Hawk Sporting Goods Store in Pocomoke, Md.

Prizes were awarded at a Saturday night get-together at Wright’s Seafood Restaurant in Atlantic, Va. During the awards ceremony Mike Whiteside was presented his winning check and a beautiful trophy designed by B.J.’s Custom Creations. Each angler present also received a T-shirt commemorating the event. Numerous prizes were also awarded to those participating. These prizes were made possible by the tournament’s many sponsors.
