Southern Fulton 16, Berlin 9

A well-timed three-run homer in the fourth inning by Ryan Harper shifted the tide for the Southern Fulton Indians, who cruised to a 16- 9 win over Berlin. J.C. Munson and Levi Mellott added two singles and three RBIs each for the Indians Monday night. Seth Hall closed out the final 5.1 innings of the match and finished with five strikeouts and five hits.

Southern Fulton 18,

Chestnut Ridge 7

Southern Fulton’s match Friday took only five innings to complete with the Indians coming out on top for the 18-7 Sideling Hill League victory over Chestnut Ridge. Pitcher Zach Morton took his first win of the season after having struck out six batters, walking four and giving up eight hits and six earned runs. J.C. Munson and Levi Mellott both had three hits, which included a home run for Munson. Teammate Ryan Harper connected for two doubles and three RBIs.

McConnellsburg 4,

Southern Fulton 3

The McConnellsburg Spartans managed only four hits on Friday, but it was enough to inch by the Southern Fulton Indians 4-3. Dalton Garlock and Jesse Swope both had RBI doubles, and Evan Appleby contributed a two-run double during the Spartans’ victory. Appleby took the win on the mound with four strikeouts, three hits and a lone earned run. Losing pitcher Brayden Litton tallied one walk, three hits and four earned runs for Southern Fulton. Casey Elbin finished with n RBI, and Zach Morton added a tworun double. Levi Mellott wrapped up the Sideling Hill League match with a pair of hits. Forbes Road 4, Hyndman 1

Forbes Road pitcher Casey Wade had a strong day on the mound, leading the Cardinals onto a 4-1 Sideling Hill League win over Hyndman. Wade finished the match with three strikeouts, three walks and three hits. Kyle Schoen batted two-forfour with a double and run batted in, and Brandon Blair totalled two hits.

Southern Fulton 8,

Forbes Road 7

Southern Fulton mounted a comeback in the final two innings of last Thursday’s Sideling Hill League match to overcome the Forbes Road Cardinals by one run. Seth Hall grabbed his fourth win of the season for the Indians with one walk, two hits and one earned run. Teammate J.C. Munson tallied three singles and four RBIs, and Ryan Harper added three hits and two RBIs. Hall rounded out the day at the plate with three runs and three hits. Losing pitcher Tristan Gelvin had two walks, two hits and one earned run. Donovan Bricker, Kyle Schoen, Dakota DeShong and Casey Wade all contributed two hits. McConnellsburg 10, Shade 8 Shade 14, McConnellsburg 13

McConnellsburg split a double-header Thursday night against Shade winning the first non-league match by two runs and dropping the last by only one run. Seth Seville took the win with 11 strikeouts, nine hits and six earned runs, and Levi Crouse was handed a loss after recording two strikeouts, five walks, six hits and five earned runs. Teammates Tristan Deneen, Dalton Garlock and Salem Mellott all had doubles, and Evan Appleby added a homer. Caleb Christy closed out the evening going four-for-five.


McConnellsburg 16,

Forbes Road 5

McConnellsburg’s season came to a close Monday evening with a decisive 16-5 victory over the Forbes Road Lady Cardinals. Nikki Mc- Quade and Sarrah Pollock both connected for homers during the Sideling Hill League match, and Mc- Quade wrapped up the game with three hits, three runs and three RBIs. Pollock and Taylor Morton each had two hits. Gabby Danner clinched her sixth win of the season with four strikeouts, five walks, four hits and three earned runs. Samantha Clippinger was handed the loss for Forbes Road after recording four strikeouts, 10 walks, 10 hits and 12 earned runs. Corri Parsons finished with a two-run double.

Southern Fulton 14,

Forbes Road 1

Southern Fulton scored 14 times Saturday and held Forbes Road to only one run during the Indians’ 10th win of the season. During the Sideling Hill League match, pitcher Marley Elbin evened out her season record 4-4. Elbin tallied seven strikeouts, two walks and one hit. Elbin along with Taylor Leasure, Taelor Morton and Kayla Chilcote each contributed two hits. Leasure and teammate Jordon Deneen also had three RBIs. Lauryn King took the loss for Forbes Road with nine walks, two hits and six earned runs over two innings.

Chestnut Ridge 11,

Southern Fulton 1

Having easily downed Forbes Road earlier in the day, Southern Fulton didn’t fair as well in competing against Chestnut Ridge. The Lady Indians suffered a 11-1 Sideling Hill League loss to Ridge, who has only lost one game this spring season. Kelsey White struck out five batters and allowed five walks, 11 hits and 10 earned runs for Southern Fulton.

McConnellsburg 1

The Southern Fulton Lady Indians picked up their fourth consecutive victory last Friday evening, downing the McConnellsburg Spartans 4-1. Pitcher Kelsey White was victorious for the Indians with nine strikeouts, three walks, six hits and only one earned run. At the plate, Maddie Mellott had three hits, which drove in three runners. Teammate Marley Elbin added a double. For McConnellsburg, Gabby Danner totalled five strikeouts, two walks, eight hits and three earned runs.Taylor Morton had two hits, and Reva Souders added an RBI.

McConnellsburg 6,

Northern Bedford 4

Northern Bedford committed four errors and gave up 12 walks allowing Mc- Connellsburg to pull ahead 6-4 for a Sideling Hill League win. Pitcher Gabby Danner secured her fifth win of the season with four strikeouts, two walks, nine hits and three earned runs. Taylor Morton contributed two hits, which included triple, the team’s only extra-base hit. Alexus Mellott had a pair of hits as well in addition to an RBI.
