George and Jodi Hann attended the Apple Blossom Festival in Winchester, Va., on Friday and saw their 8- year-old grandsons, Sam and Luke, and granddaughter, 6- year- old Ellie, run in the Bloomin Mile Race. The boys finished in 7 minutes, 45 seconds and Ellie finished in 9 minutes, 45 seconds.

Tim McGarvey visited with his son, Dr. Jeremy Mc- Garvey, in Philadelphia last week. He also had a good report from his doctor while there. His daughter, Abby McGarvey, has been on the sick list with pneumonia and hopes to be back in school this week.

Public Opinion weekly honor roll student-athletes were Gabby Danner, Mc- Connellsburg softball; Tristin Deneen, McConnellsburg baseball; and Jeb Williams, Southern Fulton track and field.

Richard and Candie Diffenderfer will celebrate their 26th wedding anniversary on May 5.

Sideling Hill Christian Church held its revival services last week, with a good attendance all three nights.

National Day of Prayer will be held on Thursday, May 5, on the courthouse lawn.

Chamber of Commerce held its spring fever tournament last Friday at Great Cove Golf and Recreation Club.

Barney Baer of Three Springs was in our town doing some shopping and meeting up with some old friends. Barney lived in town for a number of years before moving to Shade Gap and then to Three Springs. He was an avid golfer and took a great interest in Great Cove Golf Club for years. It was nice to see and chat with him. He remains in good health and reads The Fulton County News faithfully.

Hannah McGarvey enjoyed visiting her father Toby’s worksite at Letterkenny Depot last Thursday during father/ daughter workday.

Gilbert “Gil” Deshong is now home recuperating after heart surgery and will be taking rehab at Fulton County Medical Center.
