Gerald Anderson was in a motorcycle accident on Thursday evening. We wish him a speedy recovery.

Immanuel Bible Church Spring Rally round-up event has been rescheduled for Sunday, May 15, beginning at 5:30 p.m. This year, the theme will be carnival style, with games, prizes, food and fun for all.

Visiting this week with the Steve and Karen Grissinger family were Travis Hall, Ramon Martin, Tom and Mamie Streightiff, Brent Carlson, Barron, Crystal, Caleb and Brooke Taylor, Will, Caleb and Emily Greenland, Lori Lupey and Donna Locke.

Mike, Patti, Chris and Kevin Pintozzi and friend Brad enjoyed a campfire on Saturday evening with some extra large marshmallows to roast.

Caleb Greenland and the rooster had a run-in with a few scratches resulting, but the end result was the crockpot for the rooster.

Brian, Emily and Micah Ramsey visited with Roger and Pat Ramsey on Sunday.

A special thank-you goes out to the Three Springs Volunteer Fire Co. for its support of the ham pot-pie benefit dinner on Saturday. Their generosity and kindness were overwhelming and greatly appreciated. Thank you to all who donated and supported the benefit for Stephanie and Justin >Semple.

Hustontown Area Volunteer Fire Co. will sponsor its annual Mother’s Day buffet on Sunday, May 8, beginning at 11 a.m. A large variety of foods will be featured, including eight meat dishes.

The fire company wille sponsor a food auction on Friday, May 13, beginning at 5 p.m. A new vendor, Mike Sullivan, will have fresh meats, lunch meats, and a variety of grocery items for the auction. The fire company appreciates your support.

Angel Wings will sponsor a benefit ride and pig roast on Saturday, June 11, at Harper’s Memorial Park, with bikes leaving at noon. The cost is $25 per bike. Please contact Dodie Price for registration at 814-386- 0594. All proceeds from the day will benefit Justin and Stephanie Semple.

A demolition derby will be held on June 4 beginning at 2 p.m. to benefit the Shade Gap Volunteer Fire Co. Racing begins at 6 p.m. and the Derby entry fee is $40. If you have any questions, give Travis Kling a call.

Three Springs Volunteer Fire Co. will have a roast beef dinner on Sunday, May 15, beginning at 11 a.m.
