Fishing Rodeo/Open House Fulton County Sportsmen’s League will hold its annual open house and fishing rodeo for children 12 and younger at the trout nursery on Sunday, May 15. Fishing will start at noon and the drawing for the spring raffle will be at 3 p.m. The food stand will have a variety of foods available, including roast pork sandwiches, bean soup, hamburgers and hot dogs.

Mic NIght Mic Night will be held at Warfordsburg Senior Center, 209 Long Hollow Road, Warfordsburg, on May 14, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Food and drink will be available. Admission is $1. More information maybe obtained by calling 717- 294-6020.

Free Youth Shoots Free youth shoots will be held at Fulton County Pistol and Rifle Club, May 6, 13, 20 and 27, at 5:30 p.m. Registrations taken no later than 6:30 p.m. Open to all youths 16 years old and under. .22 rifles will be furnished and all shells furnished. Medals awarded nightly. Trophies awarded at the end of the month for high overall shooters. Kitchen open. Must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Free Movie Free Friday movie will be shown May 6 in the community room of the Fulton County Library at 6:10 p.m. Call 485-5327 or stop in the library to find out what’s playing.

Book, Plant, Bake Sale Fulton County Library will hold its 29th annual book, plant and bake sale May 20 and 21, from 9 a.m .to 4 p.m. at the library, 227 North First Street, Mc- Connellsburg. Lunch stand will be available on Friday.

Golf Tournament Fulton County Community Christian School will host the 10th annual Forrest R. Mellott Memorial Golf Tournament on Saturday, June 18, 2011, at Great Cove Golf Course, McConnellsburg. This tournament will be a four-person scramble with a shotgun start beginning at 8 a.m. Top prize for the tournament is $1,000. Bus Trip The sons of the American Legion will host a bus trip Saturday, May 21, to Cabela’s and Hollywood Casino in Grantville, Pa. Price is $38 per person, which includes $5 food voucher and $25 in slot coins. Softball Registration BiValley girls softball will take registrations for girls grades 1-8 on Friday, May 6, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday, May 7, from 9 a.m. to noon, at Mc- Connellsburg High School gym. Track & Field Meet McConnellsburg Open Hershey track and field meet for all students ages 8-14 will be held Saturday,

New York Trip Modern Woodmen Youth Group is sponsoring a day trip to New York City Saturday, May 14. The bus will depart McConnellsburg at 6 a.m., and will leave New York City at 7 p.m., with a pit stop, and should return to Mc- Connellsburg around midnight. Cost per person will be $50.
