By virtue of certain writs of execution out of the Court of Common Pleas of Fulton County, Pa., and to me directed, I will expose at public sale by public venue or outcry in the hallway of the Fulton County Courthouse, McConnellsburg, Pa., November 2, 2017, at 10 a.m., on the above date, the hereinafter mentioned real estate. All parties in interest and claimants are hereby notified that a schedule of distribution will be filed by the sheriff on November 13, 2017, and that distribution will be made in accordance with said schedule unless exceptions are filed thereto within ten (10) days thereafter.

As soon as the property is knocked down to the purchaser, 10 percent of the purchase price or 10 percent of all costs, whichever may be higher, shall be delivered to the sheriff. If the 10 percent payment is not made as requested, the sheriff will direct the auctioneer to resell the property. The balance due shall be paid no later than November 13, 2017, at 4 p.m., prevailing time. Sealed bids for the construction of the North 3rd Street Culvert Replacement will be received at the office of Keller Engineers Inc., 420 Allegheny Street, Hollidaysburg, PA 16648, until 3 p.m., prevailing local time, on the 1st day of November 2017. The bids will then be opened and read aloud at 7 p.m., prevailing local time, on the 1st day of November 2017, at the regular meeting of the Mc- Connellsburg Borough Council at the municipal building at 112 Lincoln Way East, McConnellsburg, PA 17233. The project consists of removal of the existing stone culvert and replacement with a precast reinforced concrete box culvert along with associated roadway and drainage improvements.

The issuing office for the bidding documents is Keller Engineers Inc., 420 Allegheny Street, Hollidaysburg, PA 16648. Prospective bidders may examine the bidding documents at the issuing office on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., and may obtain copies of the bidding documents from the issuing office as described below.

Printed copies of the bidding documents may be obtained from the issuing office. Bidding documents are available in portable document file (PDF) format and will be e- mailed to the prospective bidder. Partial sets of bidding documents will not be available from the issuing office. Neither owner nor engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of bidding documents, including addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the issuing office. All bidders must be registered at the office of Keller Engineers Inc. to be eligible to bid.

Attention is called to the fact that not less than the minimum salaries and wages as set forth in the bidding requirements and contract documents must be paid on the project, and that the contractors must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex, or national origin. All bidders are responsible for compliance with the Employee Verification Act of 2013. The Public Works Employment Verification Form must be completed before an award can be given. Prequalification of bidder as specified in Section 102.01 of Penn-DOT Specifications Publication 408 is required.

McConnellsburg Borough reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any and all informalities.

Bids may be held by the McConnellsburg Borough for ninety (90) days after the day of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and evaluating the qualifications of the bidders, prior to awarding the contract. No bidder may withdraw his bid before the expiration of such ninety (90) day period provided; however, that if the award of the contract is delayed by a required approval of another governmental agency, the sale of bonds, or the award of grant or grants, the Mc- Connellsburg Borough shall reject all bids or award the contract to the lowest responsible bidder within ninety (90) days of the date of the bid opening, and no bidder may withdraw his bid before the expiration of such ninety (90) day period.

Sealed bids for the construction of the Fulton County Commissioners’ proposed Fulton County Courthouse – concrete slab and step improvements project will be received at the commissioner’s office at 116 West Market Street, Suite 203, Mc- Connellsburg, PA 17233, until 10 a.m., local time, on Tuesday, October 31, 2017, at which time the bids received will be publicly opened and read. The project includes the removal and replacement of approximately 35 SY FT of concrete, the demo and reconstruction of three sets of concrete steps, handrails and sealer.

The issuing office for the bidding documents is Keller Engineers Inc., 420 Allegheny Street, Hollidaysburg, PA 16648. Prospective bidders may examine the bidding documents at the issuing office or the office of the commissioners as described above on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., and may obtain copies of the bidding documents from the issuing office as described below.

Printed copies of the bidding documents may be obtained from the issuing office, during the hours indicated above, upon payment of a deposit of $100 for each set of each contract. Bidders who return full sets of the bidding documents in good condition (suitable for reuse) within 10 days after receipt of bids will receive a full refund. Checks for bidding documents shall be payable to “Keller Engineers Inc.” Upon request and receipt of the document deposit indicated above plus a non-refundable shipping charge, the issuing office will transmit the bidding documents via delivery service. The shipping charge amount will depend on the shipping method selected by the prospective bidder. The date that the bidding documents are transmitted by the issuing office will be considered the bidder’s date of receipt of the bidding documents. Partial sets of bidding documents will not be available from the issuing office. Neither owner nor engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of bidding documents, including addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the issuing office. Bidding documents are also available on compact disc (as PDF files) for a nonrefundable charge of $25, including shipping.

Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the information for bidders.

This project will be funded by the Fulton County Commissioners through PComp and PCorp grants.
