PAINTER’S GARAGE – SEWAGE NOTIFICATION

Larry Foor is planning on constructing a new garage facility with an on-lot sewage disposal system on his 10.027 acre tract of land situated on the south side of Lincoln Highway, approximately 1,000 feet west of the intersection of Lincoln Highway and SR0915, in Brush Creek Township, Fulton County. This tract of land is further described in Fulton County Deed Book 0615 Page 294 owned by Painter’s Garage Inc.

The existing property has an existing on-lot conventional sewage system that was investigated by the Township’s Sewage Enforcement Officer (SEO) Jamie Catanese and was found to be unsuitable for the proposed use. Soil testing then was performed to seek another location on the property for a new on-lot system. The site was found to be suitable for an on-lot system meeting the requirements of the Township’s Act 537 Plan.

The proposed septic system will be designed for 400 gallons per day (gpd) and will consist of a two-compartment septic tank, a dosage tank and a sand mound. The treated effluent will discharge to the subsoils under the sandmound and will be infiltrated. The site is sloped toward the southeast and is approximately 1,270 linear feet from an unnamed tributary of Little Brush Creek. Eventually the site discharges into the headwaters of an unnamed tributary of Little Brush Creek, a High Quality (HQ) stream and Migratory Fishery (MF) as designated by PA Chapter 93.

This public notification is required by the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection that establishes a 30-day comment and review period. Any questions or comments regarding this project must be submitted in writing to the Brush Creek Township Board of Supervisors, 1792 Layton Road, Warfordsburg, PA 17267.

A copy of the land development plan illustrating the locations of the proposed project can be viewed at the Brush Creek Township Building.
